SPACE TRANSPORTATION: SPRING SESSION GATHERS SPACETECH INDUSTRY FOR A DAY OF INSIGHT AND INNOVATION
On 2 April, the European Space Agency’s Future Space Transportation Spring Session brought together ESA experts, Member State delegations, and space transportation users and suppliers at ESA Headquarters in Paris.

StarGrip is an ESA BIC start-up which developed a wearable technology that allows users to intuitively and swiftly control electronic devices using hand gestures. The ESA BIC Hungary programme played a crucial role in helping them organise their thoughts, expand their network within the industry, and connect with key players.

The conference is the annual meeting of European and Canadian industries, as well as for subject matter experts showcasing the latest developments in the domain of optical and quantum communication technologies under the European Space Agency’s (ESA) Optical & Quantum Communications – ScyLight strategic programme line and beyond.

EO FOR MUNICIPALITIES: NEW INCUBED PORTUGAL NATIONAL CALL
The Portuguese Space Agency has launched a new call for projects with the support of ESA InCubed, an Earth Observation (EO) programme managed by ESA Φ-lab. Focusing on innovative projects to modernise Portuguese cities through EO, this call has a total budget of €1.5 million.

INTEGRATED SATELLITE/COASTAL TERMINAL FOR SMALL MARITIME UNMANNED SURFACE VEHICLES USED IN MARITIME SAFETY APPLICATIONS
The objective of the activity is to design, develop, test in a lab environment, and test over representative conditions an integrated NGSO-satellite/coastal terminal.

DIGITAL TWIN FOR ON-ORBIT ASSEMBLY AND MANUFACTURING OF VERY LARGE ANTENNAS
The objective of the activity is to develop and test a digital-twin for on-orbit assembly and manufacturing of antennas up to 30-50metres diameter.

PRIX BULLES PIERRE CARDIN – OCEAN&SPACE 4 OUR PLANET
The Prix Bulles, now at its third edition, is an esteemed award offered to a start-up whose projects and initiatives promote and advance the emergence of an ecological space economy in the service of Earth.

EUROPEAN LAUNCHER CHALLENGE
